About the Author

Barb grew up on the Blue Mountains in the 50s with her mum and dad, and brother Phillip, and later on the northern beaches of Sydney. Her first career was a secretary which she tolerated prior to marriage to her husband, John.

However she adored her second career as mother of four, Stephen, Geoff, Ian and Susan.

Barb’s natural inquisitiveness led her to the artists’ palette, and later she studied for her third career which she found totally fulfilling, taking up the position of Associate Minister in a Sydney church. She presently heads up the Sydney Advocacy Group of a micro-enterprise foundation in Indonesia, where she travels frequently. Barb loves history, politics, exploring, John, her family and God, not necessarily in that order, and finds time spent in research and writing utterly absorbing.

Finding Reg is Barb’s first solo published work, Mondays at Eleven was published in 2021, an anthology of short stories from the Willoughby Writers Group.

This photo was taken in 2013 at Lane Cove National Park, of all Peg and Reg’s children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. (above)
